Dear Hon Philip Ruddock
As an Australian citizen and Falun Dafa practitioner I would like to express
my concern in regards to the Australian governments position on Falun Dafa.
In particular, I am concerned for the safety of the practioners currently waiting
to be deported back to China. I am aware that tommorrow Mr and Mrs Wang
will be sent on a flight back to China. This deeply pains me, as Mr and Mrs Wang
were persecuted before they applied for assylum in Australia and sending them back
to China is as good as signing their death sentence. The situation for Falun Dafa
practitioners in China is extreamly desparate and even a non practitioner can be
arrested for simply saying ‘Falun Dafa is Good’.
I urge you, please reconsider your position on this issue as it is truly a matter of
life and death. The Australian government has the power to show compassion and
embrace the human rights of these people and to demonstrate that Australia
is a country that upholds human rights. As an Australain citizen I trust that the government
of my country will eventually see the seriousness of this issue and change their position on this
issue.
Yours sincerely
