On Saturday the 30th November 2002, Falun Dafa practitioners will be holding a special event.
“The World Needs Truth-Compassion-Tolerance” Day
Corner of Ware St. and Spencer St. Fairfield: “The World Needs Truth-Compassion-Tolerance”
It is our great honour to invite you to attend “The World Needs Truth-Compassion-Tolerance” Day, which will be held on 30 November 2002 from 9:30pm to 4:00pm in Cnr. Ware St. and Spencer St. Fairfield. The activites include: Falun Dafa meditation exercise demonstration, singing and dancing performances, caligraphy, information displays, as well as participation from other community groups.
In 1996, the first Falun Dafa practice site was established in Cabramatta in the Fairfield area, New South Wales. Since then, the principles of Falun Dafa, Truth-Compassion-Tolerance, have reached many areas in Australia, and thousands of Australians have benefited from this virtuous practice. Some local governments in Australia have also issued certificates of recognition to Falun Dafa practitioners for their contribution to the community.
Now supporters of the principles of Falun Dafa are starting a signature collection in support of erecting a marble monument engraved with Truth-Compassion-Tolerance in 27 different languages at Freedom Plaza, Cabramatta.
It has special meaning to have the monument erected in this particular place. Firstly, Cabramatta is the first city in Australia where the practice from China was established, planting the seeds of a greater unity created by these principles. Two former mayors have made speeches on separate occasions of Falun Dafa Days, supporting these principles wholeheartedly. Secondly, Cabramatta is a multicultural city. The erection of this monument will have a great impact on the multicultural community, offering a permanent reminder of the peace and harmony that can be strengthened between us.
As local residents, we are honoured to invite you to attend this activity and sincerely hope you are able to attend.
Yours sincerely
“Truth-Compassion-Tolerance” Monument Preparation Committee
