Lee Qizhong, a Sydney practitioner, today began a five day, 500 kilometre bike ride to Canberra to call for support from local government, local Members of Parliament, the media and the public, to ask the Australian government to help deliver a Christmas package, including a personal letter and a small Christmas gift to his fiance Li Ying, who is illegally detained in Shanghai Qingsong Women’s Labor Camp, because she is a Falun Dafa practitioner.

This is also a part of the Global rescue of Falun Gong family members’ campaign.
Li Ying is one of many thousands of Falun Dafa practitioners being held illegally in labour camps in China, purely because of their spiritual beliefs.
A personal letter delivered by the Australian government to the labor camp, would encourage fellow practitioners in China, reduce their pressure under the persecution, and show the truth to ordinary Chinese citizens that Falun Gong is supported world wide, and in the course of this journey, Lee wants to clarify the facts to the Australian public, government and media.
Lee left Sydney at 11.30am today, December 16th, from outside the Chinese Consulate, to begin his long journey under 32 degree Celsius heat.
He was farewelled by local Falun Dafa practitioners.
Below is his schedule over the next week. We hope that Lee will be given warm encouragement by practitioners in country areas and the kind Australian people.
