Queensland: Practitioners Perform at a Party for Elderly People (Photos)

On December 21, 2003, Dafa practitioners from Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast
and other areas in Brisbane went to a nursing home in the suburbs to have a
party with the elderly people who live there. Practitioners performed songs
and dances, and demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises. The performances won
applause and praise from the audience.

Practitioners from Sunshine Coast hand made many beautiful lotus flowers and
presented them to each person. The host told all attendees about the “Petals
of Peace” activity, telling them about a little Chinese girl named Fa Du who
lives in Australia. Her father died from persecution in China because he practiced
Falun Gong. Her mother has traveled with her around the world to call upon kindhearted
people to help stop the persecution in China, and she hopes that all children
in the world are able to live in an environment of justice, peace and happiness.
The older people listened carefully while reading the truth-clarifying materials.

A representative of the elderly residents said in his speech, “Your
dancing and exercise demonstration today are the most wonderful performances I
have ever seen in my life. I know about Falun Gong because I learned it five
years ago. I’m very glad to spend such a happy time with you all, and I
sincerely welcome you to come again.”

The practitioners were very pleased to see these kindhearted people learn the
truth about Falun Gong. We also thought that we should hold more “Petals of
Peace” activities, so more kindhearted people can be aware of the
persecution of those who follow “Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance,”
and more people will learn the truth and be rescued.
