‘Petals Of Peace’ Launch at the University of New South Wales(Photos)

‘Petals Of Peace’ was launched at the University of New South Wales. Behind this new campaign are countless faces of innocence – children, who too have suffered in face of the on-going genocide of Falun Gong. ‘Petals of Peace’ encourages children all over the world to fold paper lotus flowers, to show their hope that the persecution will come to an end.

As people watched on, children demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises. Many curious students even stopped to look at the beautiful lotus flowers that decorated the courtyard and to enjoy the peaceful demonstration. Tables were set up, where people were encouraged to fold paper lotus flowers. Many flyers were distributed, clarifying the Truth about vicious nature of the persecution and letting more know about ‘Petals of Peace’ campaign.

After a brief introduction to the proceedings, a guest speaker from the Jewish community, Mrs Peta Pelach, offered words of support. She called for the freedom of belief, encouraging an end to the oppression of people based on their faith.

Australian citizen, Jane Dai, than shared her touching story of how she and her 3 year-old daughter Fadu were affected by the persecution. Fadu is the main embassador for ‘Petals of Peace’ and is the youngest Australian who has suffered.

“My husband, young and healthy, did not have to be killed, nobody should be killed for their beliefs. So many have been killed. There is genocide going on in China, the victims are killed because they believe in Truth, Compassion Tolerace” said Ms Dai.

“ We are gathered here today, not only to raise awareness, but to tell Australians… that there are millions of youngsters who are being hurt…..even a seven-month year old baby was tortured to death”

Ms Dai urged people to fold a lotus flower, as a sign of peace and hope.

“I ask you to kindly fold a lotus flower and may it be another symbol, another voice to stop the killing in China”.
