Some Falun Dafa practitioners in Queensland
On 21 September 2003, a local branch of a Buddhist organization and Mater Hospital in Brisbane jointly organized a big fundraising event for Mater Hospital. Local Dafa practitioners were also invited to perform on stage during the event.
At lunchtime, many people from all directions gathered in front of the stage, watching the performances while enjoying the tasty snacks of various countries. Some people were so impressed with our performances that they videotaped every single act from the beginning to the end.

We were twice presented with fresh flowers during our performances. At the end, the organizer also presented us with a certificate of appreciation, followed by an interview with the largest newspaper in Queensland. While on stage to receive the certificate, we took the opportunity to clarify the truth to the audience. We told them about the persecution of Falun Gong in China and gave a brief introduction on Falun Dafa, which enabled many more people to gain a righteous understanding about Falun Gong and the persecution. Afterwards, a kindhearted person walked up to us and made an exclamatory remark, “It is high time you came out!”
While we did not feel overly exited about the flowers, the interview or the certificate of appreciation, we were deeply touched by this remark. We realized that we did not participate in many local Chinese community activities in the past. We are now making an active effort in this respect. We shall continue to take an active part in local Chinese community activities with a clear purpose of validating the Fa and clarifying the truth through multi-channels.
