Fifty-nine-year old Ms. Xiang Xuelan lived on Pingdu Road, Fengdu County, Chongqing
City. After the persecution of Falun Dafa began on July 20, 1999, she continued
to firmly cultivate. Because of her determination, she was constantly monitored
and harassed by the local “610 Office” (an agency specifically created
to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration
in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems). Her home was ransacked
more than five times.
On April 13, 2000, she was arrested by policemen Chen Xionghui (Section Chief),
Luo Yongzhong, Qin Zongrong and Huang Yaqin from the Fengdu County Police Department.
She wasn’t released until the 30th of that month.
From September 4 to 14 of 2000, she was arrested and sent to a brainwashing
class.
Between January and February of 2001, she was again sent to a brainwashing
class. The responsible parties include: Mu Xinchun (Party secretary of the Political
and Legal Committee), Chen Xionghui (Section Chief), Luo Yongzhong (Director
of Management Office), Yu Zhongrong (instructor), Tao Fen (from Shuishang Police
Station), Gao (Director of the County Hospital), Long (Director of Religion
Bureau) and Lang (also from the Religion Bureau).
On March 29, 2001, Chen Xionghui deceived Xiang Xuelan into coming to the County
Police Department, and then sent her to the Fengdu County Detention Center.
Because she firmly practiced Dafa, she was subjected to various forms of torture.
On May 11, 2001, in order to stop her from cultivating Dafa, a guard grabbed
her hair and slammed her head against the wall. The next day, she passed away
as a result of the severe injury she had sustained.
