Sydney practitioners were recently awarded 2nd prize in the Hunters Hill community festival, for an outstanding parade display. The VIP members commended Falun Gong practitioners for their cultural array of Tang Dynasty costume parade, waist drummers and exercise demonstration on wheels. The waist drumming is a new addition to the Falun Dafa performances.

The 2nd prize was a considerable amount of money, however practitioners decided to donate the whole amount to the State Emergency Rescue Team. This team was established by the Australian Government to rescue those at risk of weather calamities or other dangers. The Mayor of Hunters Hill was delighted and happily accepted the donation.
Falun Dafa practitioners also held a Tang Dynasty costume show and demonstration of the exercises on-stage. This was actually a surprise, because practitioners were late in applying for the stage performance. But thanks to the support of the Mayor and VIPs, the Falun Dafa performance was able to go through.
At the Falun Dafa stall practitioners had a picture display and demonstration of exercises. Quite a few people came to learn the exercises on-the-spot. One lady, upon hearing about the Falun Gong SOS! Rescue Campaign, was shocked. She could not believe the atrocities that have happened and are still happening to innocent Falun Gong practitioners in China.
