On Saturday, September 21st, Falun Dafa practitioners participated in the Bowral
Tulip Time Festival. This festival is held each spring at this time, and attracts
thousands of tourists to see the beautiful floral displays and the parade.
The local Southern Highlands practitioners had placed advertisements in the
local newspapers, inviting people to come along to see the Falun Dafa display
and to learn the exercises.
It was a beautiful sunny day in Bowral, and the colourful costumes and tranquil
Falun Dafa music attracted large crowds.
The Tang Dynasty Dancers with their beautiful costumes and graceful movements
were particularly popular, with dozens of people taking photos and videos whilst
they performed.
The exercise demonstrations were also a big drawcard with many people expressing
interest in learning the exercises. Other practitioners handed out brochures
and truth clarifying materials to the receptive crowd.
A large photo exhibition was on display and attracted great interest, especially
the mass exercises in China prior to the persecution. The State Member of Parliament
for the Southern Highlands, Ms. Peta Seaton visited the display on two or three
occasions throughout the day. Ms. Seaton has always been extremely supportive
of Falun Dafa, and has often spoken out about the Chinese Government’s
persecution.
