The “Uncompromising Courage” art exhibition was successfully held
from 4th April to 9th April 2005 at the Noosa Library on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland,
Australia. The exhibition was organised by local Falun Gong practitioners.
The
40 paintings on display illustrated the beauty of the practise of Falun Dafa in
contrast to the evil nature of the persecution. The works clearly conveyed the
uncompromising courage of Falun Dafa practitioners who remain steadfast in upholding
the principles of ‘Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance’ in response to the
Communist Party’s ongoing and brutal campaign.

Hundreds of people who visited
the exhibition were deeply moved as they learned of the persecution that is being
experienced by the countless and innocent Falun Gong practitioners in China. They
were shocked that such a cruel and widespread persecution is happening in the
21st Century.
The viewing public found it difficult to understand how a
government can be so violent towards the good people of their own society, who
simply follow virtuous principles to essentially improve their lives!
Many
wanted to know what they could do to help these people. Some said that they would
tell their family and friends and some took information about the art exhibition
and persecution to share with others.
Many also thanked the Falun Gong
practitioners for bringing the exhibit to their community and for their continuing
efforts in bringing to the world’s attention this vicious campaign against the
rights and human dignity of millions of China’s innocent citizens.
The
“Uncompromising Courage” Art Exhibit has been displayed in major cities
throughout the world, including Geneva, Brisbane, Sydney, Jakarta, Washington
DC, New York and Boston, and cities in Taiwan, Korea, Canada and Chicago. This
was the first time that the paintings were exhibited on the Sunshine Coast. The
art exhibit will continue touring other cities throughout Australia.
