On 9 April 2005 more than 20 Falun Gong practitioners from Sydney and Mittagong
came to Canberra, capital city of Australia. They gave a beautiful performance
of colourful traditional Chinese dancing and songs in Belconnen’s shopping centre
and a fresh food market in north Canberra.
Their performances of "Tang
Dynasty Costumes" and "Pipa Dancing" etc were so beautify it brings
people back to the heavenly world of ancient China. Three western practitioners
from Mittagong of NSW sang eight self-written songs including "Zhen-Shan-Ran
(Truth-Compassion-Forbearance", "Universal Law" and "Why are
you killing your own good people." In these songs, they tell people about
the universal law "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance", the benefits in health
and inner peace they had from practicing Falun Dafa, and the enrichment of their
happy life. Also they expose the persecution of Falun Gong in China.
Their
performances were concluded by their singing of "Falun Dafa is Good",
which brought the performance to a climax.
The nice music and beautiful
performances attracted many people, who applauded many times for the performances.
Practitioners’ demonstration of the five sets of Falun Gong exercises gave people
first hand knowledge of what Falun Gong is.

One
person from the audience asked a practitioner why they came all the way to perform
here. The practitioner replied with a smile, "We practitioners here all benefited
in health and inner peace from the practice of Falun Gong. Our lives have been
improved and we had become much happier persons. Therefore we wish to tell other
people about it, and hope it will improve other people’s lives as well."
The practitioners also told the audience that Falun Gong’s teaching and other
activities are all free, supported by volunteers.
Another person told a
practitioner that he thought Falun Gong was something like those Kongfu in the
movies. He could not imagine that why such a gentle and peaceful practice is being
persecuted in China. The practitioner took the opportunity to tell that person
about how Falun Gong started in China and spread around the world, how Jiang Zemin
and Chinese Communist Party use each other in the persecution of Falun Gong, the
cruelness of the persecution, and hope people would help stop the persecution
as soon as possible. Many people said that they would read further about Falun
Gong. Some expressed interests to learn Falun Gong.
