Yuanyuan, lived at No.29 Wachangwan of Zitong Town
in Tongnan County, Chongqing City. Her father, Zhang Hongxu, and her mother, Wu
Yongmei, are both Falun Gong practitioners. In the second half of December of
2003, little Yuanyuan’s mother, was arrested by Zhang Liang, captain of Chongqing
City’s National Security Brigade. In the detention center, Wu Yongmei went on
a hunger strike for fifty-four days and she was released when she was on the brink
of death. On New Year’s Day of 2004, four policemen from the first police station
of Tongnan County, forcefully took little Yuanyuan away and until today, there
is still no information on her whereabouts.
Little Yuanyuan was born on July
16, 1999. Four days after her birth, the Jiang regime started the brutal persecution
of Falun Gong.
When she was seven months old, Yuanyuan was separated from
her loving father. Her father Zhang Hongxu was illegally sent to Xishanping Labor
Camp by Zhang Liang, just because he was not willing to give up practicing Falun
Gong. In the labor camp, Zhang Hongxu’s nose was broken by the police’s torture.
They punched his teeth out and broke a couple of his ribs.
On May 13, 2000,
little Yuanyuan was only ten months old, and her mother Wu Yongmei took her along
to practice exercises with some other practitioners at a park in Tongnan, where
they were arrested by Zhang Liang and his subordinates. At the scene, a lot of
people pleaded with the police to: “Let go of this little baby! She is less
than one year old.” The police said: “No, no matter who is here, they
all need to be taken away.”
Little Yuanyuan is very clever and likes
to listen to Teacher Li’s audio lectures. When she was three years old, she could
remember more than ten poems from Hongyin (a collection of Teacher’s poems) and
some other short articles of Teacher’s. When she was playing outside and meeting
some uncles and aunts, she would say: “Uncles and aunts, please remember
that Falun Dafa is good.”
In October of 2000, Zhang Liang and the “610
office” [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute
power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and
judiciary systems] wanted to arrest her father and take him to the Tianyuanhua
Brainwashing Facility. In order to resist the illegal persecution, her father
was forced to leave home to avoid further harassment and arrest and little Yuanyuan
once again was separated from her father.
Around 2:00PM on December 23,
2003, her mother was planning to send her daughter to kindergarten, when Zhang
Liang with six other policemen came to take her mother away. The police illegally
detained her mother and brutally tortured her. In order to resist persecution,
Wu Yongmei went on a hunger strike for fifty-four days, which placed her on the
brink of death. Zhang Liang was afraid of taking the responsibility, so he ordered
some people to carry her to her relatives.
On New Year’s Day of 2004, four
policemen from the first police station of Tongnan County, forcefully took little
Yuanyuan away from home. To date, no one knows where she is. At this young age,
Yuanyuan has to suffer the hardship of being taken away from her parents.
After
her kindergarten teacher learned of her situation, she started to cry.
Little
Yuanyuan needs to come back to her parents. She also needs a stable home and a
happy childhood. We hereby call on her kidnapper, Zhang Liang, to return little
Yuanyuan to her family!
