Prime Minister Howard Please Mention the Names of Australians Loved Ones in China
SYDNEY (FDI) – On Thursday, 14th of August 2003, Australian Falun Dafa practitioners will gather at Parliament House to call on the Prime Minister to raise the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China during talks with the new Chinese leadership.
At a 12.00 noon press event at Federation Mall, Australian practitioners will present an open letter asking Prime Minister Howard to call for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. Members of the “Family Rescue Campaign” will likewise request the Prime Minister to ask for the release of Australian Falun Gong practitioners’ family members in meetings with China’s President Hu Jintao and Premier Wen Jiabao.

Background
It has been nine months since Jiang Zemin, the architect of the 4 year long brutal persecution was replaced as president of the Peoples Republic of China, yet the torture and killing of innocent practitioners still continues with over 300 recorded deaths in the past 12 months.
While Jiang Zemin still controls the military and is the key person instructing the persecution of Falun Gong and its practitioners, he is increasingly unable to avoid exposure of his serious violations of human rights. Currently he is facing a lawsuit for genocide in the US district court of Illinois.
