I am a Fairfield local practitioner. I feel so honorable to have this opportunity to share my experience with my neighbors.
I came to Australia in 1989, and met my husband George soon. I found him as a serious gambler a very short time after that. We have two daughters, and the family did not help George to give up his bad habit. He always took the last money from us, disappeared for days, gambling, until had even $1 left in his pocket. I cried, begged, tried to leave him, but considering about the children, I failed. I lived in very heavy pressure, worrying a lot, feeling our family had no future. I became weaker and weaker, I had to go to Chinese acupuncture once for two days, and drank Chinese herb 4 times a day. I became a different woman, easily losing my temper, fighting with George even in front of our children. Once, I took my three year old daughter Zina with me when chasing up George when he did not come back home on his payday. We had to walk 20 minutes to the club since there was no money for us to catch a Taxi. Sometime, I just wish my bitter life could be finished sooner.
One day of 1996, I heard “Truth, Compassion, Forbearance” from one of our friends. I just feel that is so great, it looks like a light had bright up my dark life. I decide to following up
these principles. George and I got the book called “Zhaun Falun”, and a month later there became a big change of my family. George also had been shaken by these three words, and he started following these principles. He gave up gambling very soon, and also gave up smoking and drinking. He became more and more considerate about the family, the society, more responsible for our business. We got lots of trust from our family, friends, business partners, and the society. Now, we own our own shops, one in Canley Heights, one in Bankstown, and we have a very healthy and happy and young looking family. I did not need to see any doctor or take any medicine since 1996.
As I experienced what Falun Dafa’s “Truth, Compassion, Forbearance” could bring to me, I really wished our local people could benefit from this. Our council supported us for years, and me and my fellow practitioners were also willing to share these Falun Dafa principles with our local people. We believe no matter what nationality, what kind of religion, what kind of social rank, rich or poor, man or woman, who starts to hear about these principles, support these principles, following these principles, you for sure can have a better future.
Through the “The world needs Truth, Compassion and Forbearance” event, we are going to be using some different formats, going around every area of Fairfield City, to Spread the Message of “Truth, Compassion, Forbearance” in every corner of our city. Also, we raised the idea about setting up a monument of “Truth, Compassion and Forbearance” in our city, so we can always see these principles, and remember them, and pass this treasure to our children, and our children’s children.
All kind hearted people have a bright future, please come to support Falun Dafa, please come to support “Truth, Compassion, Forbearance”. Sign your name on the petition for the “Truth, Compassion, Forbearance” monument. We are sure that one more signature will bring our city one more piece of light. Our city owns the first Falun Dafa volunteer teaching practice site in Australia, now, the world needs Truth, Compassion and Forbearance, let our Fairfield City lead the way.
