Falun Dafa Joins Celebrations in Western Sydney (Photos)

Over 50 Sydney Falun Dafa practitioners joined the celebrations of one of Sydney’s
biggest festivals at Blacktown, Western Sydney, on Saturday 31st May 2003.

Hundreds of local community groups participated in the festival with over 350
various stalls. Even on the last day of autumn, the thousands of festival visitors
enjoyed the festival with warm weather and clear blue skies.

Practitioners demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises on stage and a peaceful
traditional Chinese Tang Dynasty costume display at three different times throughout
the day on stage in front of large audiences, drawing a lot of attention and
positive response.

Falun Dafa practitioners also joined the main street parade, watched by thousands
of people on its long journey through Blacktown city.

Onlookers clapped at the beauty of the decorated Falun Dafa float with practitioners
performing the exercises in large lotus flowers. Onlookers also exclaimed at
the various cultures represented in the Falun Dafa section of the parade. Practitioners
of all different nationalities carried banners of “Truth, Compassion, Forbearance”
in over 15 different languages. And in the true culture of Australian multiculturalism,
the Emperor of the ancient Chinese Tang Dynasty royal court procession leading
the parade was a Serbian-Australian Falun Dafa practitioner.
