Ms. Li Guozhen is our mother. She is 86 years old. In October 1997, together
with my sister and I, she began to practice Falun Dafa. She had lived with us
for several years before we took up Falun Dafa. Prior to the Jiang regime's
persecution of Falun Gong in 1999, Mother went back to China for a visit. Because
the brutal persecution has continued on, she has been unable to return to the
Netherlands to reunite with us.
Over the past few years, Mother has been arrested and detained multiple times
in China, and once she was detained for as long as three months. She is under
surveillance around the clock, constantly deprived of her freedom.
The entire family of our second elder brother Wang Kuihe in China are Falun
Gong practitioners. Mother has been living with them. Currently, they are still
under the police's surveillance. They are also deprived of the right to visit
our eldest brother Wang Yuanhe, also a Dafa practitioner in China, who has been
illegally imprisoned for more than two years.
In the last four years, my sister and I have been appealing to the Dutch
government, people and the international community in the hopes that Mother can
return to the Netherlands soon and safely, and that the persecution in China
will end. At the same time, we call upon all kind-hearted people to help stop
this persecution that should have never taken place.
The photo is an unfinished painting entitled, “Lotus Flower” that Mother had
painted and left for us prior to her return to China.
