A Sydney Falun Dafa practitioner
While assisting other practitioners on Saturday 26th April, 2003 at the Menangle
Pace Way Fair, I learnt a beautiful skill, i.e. making paper lotus flowers.
Each leaf, which was at the base, inscribed the words “Falun Dafa”;
“Truth”; “Compassion”; “Forbearance”. The beauty
of the paper lotus flowers and the message inscribed on them captivated passers-by
and many were given a lotus flower to take home.

For three years now I have learned and continue to learn the profound beauty
behind Master Li’s Falun Dafa. I am not a person of many words, and often communicate
with a smile of kindness. The skill of learning such a beautiful craft on that
day has allowed for me to share this experience with you.
On 1st May 2003, the working day came to an end. Approaching my car in the basement
of the building, I notice there was something on top of it. I quickly deduced
that the person who parks next to me must have rested some things (a notepad
and a piece of paper) on my car, while packing some others things into their
car. The company name marked the empty car space. Recognising that we worked
in the same building, my first thought was that I had to return these items
as they may contain important information relating to their business. Being
the end of the day I told the work colleague that came down with me that I will
return it to them the next morning.
That evening when I arrived home I started working on making paper lotus flowers
that I intend to give to my fellow workers on May 13th. I made a couple and
marked each leaf with the magical words “Falun Dafa”, “Truth”,
“Compassion”, “Forbearance”. I thought it would be nice
to give these two paper lotus flowers to the person when I returned the notepad
and paper and that way the Dafa message demonstrated with my action will help
them understand my actions and Falun Dafa.
The next morning I returned the notepad and paper to the individual and gave
him the two paper lotus flowers inscribed with the beauty of Master Li’s principles.
The person was extremely happy to have the items returned and accepted the paper
lotus flowers with awe. He wished me to “Have a good day” then followed
with “You probably won’t need to with an (positive) attitude like that”.
As I was leaving he took the two paper lotus flowers to show his workers.
I was happy that I was given the opportunity to return those items to him and
that I was able to demonstrate to him the beauty of “Falun Dafa”.

The power of Master Li’s Fa, never ceases to amaze.
